I worked in a behavioral health facility for adolescent boys for 8 years. I speak from experience, over half the boys that were negatively acting out were sexually abused children. Getting kids to trust an adult again is very difficult. Their instincts tell them its a setup and their defenses kick in to protect them from becoming a victim again.
