Hartford police: Homeowner wounds 2 men in home invasion

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Hartford police say a homeowner shot and critically wounded two men who invaded his home at gunpoint Saturday night.
The homeowner told investigators he got home at around 11 p.m. was confronted by the would-be robbers.
Police said the homeowner, who has a legal handgun permit, shot the men after a scuffle. They were taken to Hartford Hospital.
The homeowner had minor injuries. A woman and child who were home when the two men broke in weren't injured.
Police said they are still investigating what happened and if more suspects may have been involved.
